ASCPA Scholarship

Hello Seniors,
For those of you who are planning to apply to The University of Arizona Master of Accounting Program for Fall 200X, the following scholarship opportunity is available:
The Arizona State CPA Foundation is offering three $3,000 scholarships. The
criteria are as follows:
- Minimum GPA 3.5
- Students intend to remain in Arizona and become CPAs
- Students plan to attend the Master of Accounting Program at The University of Arizona
If you meet the above criteria and you are interested in this scholarship, please email me no later than January 21, 200X to let me know that you are interested in being nominated.
From the list of students who have expressed interest, the Department of Accounting will nominate 5 students. I will contact each student who has expressed interest and let each student know if he/she has or has not been nominated. The Foundation will pick the three winners from the five nominees.
The five nominated students will be asked to provide the following information:
- Completed application form (I will provide this to you)
- Transcripts of Undergraduate work (unofficial is ok)
- Resume
- A one-page essay about future career interests and professional goals including short term (2 year) and longer term (5 year) goals
This material will need to be submitted by January 26. #1 and # 2 should be hard copy and #3 and #4 should be word or pdf files. In addition, a professor from the accounting department will chat with each nominee briefly between 1/24 and 1/26.
